Brunel University and Designplus are very proud to announce that they were shortlisted for the Guardian University Employability Award, relating to the collaboration between the Lighting Education Trust (LET) and Brunel University’s School of Engineering and Design (now College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences).
The project aimed to enhance the qualities of product design students to better match emerging industry requirements. Second year design students are offered the option to major in lighting design working for a lighting company during their placement year and following with a significant lighting module in their final year. The University Employability Award is designed to reward innovative and strong relationships with businesses and industry (national, global or local) to provide best chances for graduates in the world of employment, with the nominees being evaluated on innovation, originality and ability to replicate.
