International Branding Week 2014

A group of 11 branding professionals and MA students from Brazil visited Brunel for the 10th International Branding Week held from the 15th to the 18th September. The aim of this initiative is to enhance the quality of brand education in Brazil through building networks with international brand specialists and by understanding current brand practices and applications. The trip was organised by a charity organisation called São Paulo Rotarians Foundation and hosted by John Boult and Chris Holt, Senior Lecturers at Brunel University’s Design department.

The workshop included: Brand Insights including Case Studies, Insights on design and branding presented by Brunel Masters Students, Design Tools used in the analysis of brands and organisations and Future Strategies as well as group workshops analysing each session.

Delegates gained valuable insights into UK brand practices by visiting a number of leading brand agencies. Delegates also prepared a brief presentation about brand / brand communication and brand activities which reflects Brazilian culture and is, in their opinion, a unique feature within the Brazilian market.

The delegates also enjoyed various activities during the London Design Festival.
