Concepts for leading brands presented and discussed by the next generation of designers and innovators and facilitated by Designplus
Date: Friday 14 June | 3 – 5:30PM
Venue: Bargehouse, Oxo Tower Wharf, South Bank, London, SE1 9PH.
For a number of years some of the most successful projects undertaken by graduating design students at Brunel University involve exploring future visions for high profile brands, resulting in stunning three dimensional models of innovative concept ideas tailored to selected brands and the opportunities emerging in the world around us.
We call this work ‘Design & Brand Visions’ – designers using carefully structured investigation into a wide range of contemporary economic, social, technological and environmental factors as a basis for creative work to generate concept ideas for future products and services.
Basing this design visioning around well known brands introduces professional brand development methods to the innovation process and provides a highly tangible focus for the work. The intuitive understanding we all have of these powerful brands means the resulting concepts have considerable resonance whatever our professional interests.
This year at Made in Brunel the student teams involved with a number of these projects are inviting a select audience to a presentation and discussion of their ideas. This is an opportunity to meet the creators and hear firsthand the future trends, brand deconstruction and repositioning which has led to ideas which may well represent significant insights into future market opportunities.
Join us to debate and judge for yourself if these young innovators have accurately predicted future products and services, and then feel free to enjoy the networking drinks reception afterwards.
The student teams will be presenting and discussing their concepts based on exploration of the brands including the following:
- Mens Health
- National Trust
- Sutton Seeds
