Design You Can't See

23 August 2007

Design you can’t see’ alludes to Design Management as a discipline which is conceptually different to the popular perception of design as artefact. It perhaps also reflects the difficulty of defining and quantifying Design Management. Brunel Design Management team and Designplus both have strong interests in clarifying, communicating and developing our understanding of the subject at a time of unprecedented global change.

Five round-table of teams of five – with five different perspectives – discussed the topic and its definitions: How, What, Who, Why, and Why Not, seeking to understand and evaluate perceptions of the value and role of Design Management in the present and future economic context. This workshop combined various angles from academia, researchers, industry, alumni, current postgraduate students of Design Management and users of design management.
