Brunel’s Product Design students’ final year innovation projects will be exhibited at our Review Evenings which will be held at Brunel University, Uxbridge, on Tuesday 11th , Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th November, between 6.30pm and 9.30pm. They will be joined by their Brunel academic lead tutors and groups of design experts to give valuable feedback to help steer and enhance their projects.
Our students have recently started some amazing innovation projects that cover a wide spectrum of topics including sports & fitness, packaging, medical, inclusive design, lighting, wildlife, furniture, toys and sustainability amongst many others.
We have held the design review for the past five years and have found that the evenings are incredible valuable to our students in helping them shape and refine their projects at an early stage in the process. Our industry experts also gain value from participating and enjoy the experience of talking to our young designers!
What is involved?
During the Review the active participants will be hearing first hand from the students and seeing their initial ideas. Students will display their projects and early concepts using art boards and artefacts in an exhibition style-format.
Our aim is to build up student self-esteem through constructive comments and bring an industrial perspective to the project direction. The event will be informative, fun and will ultimately help to drive forward the innovative and entrepreneurial culture of our students.
In the past participants have included representatives from major Brands such as: Vertu, Saatchi Saatchi, Wrigley, PBFA, Psion, M&S, Rolls-Royce and Mothercare and Design Consultancies including: Native, Seymour Powell, Therefore, Design Bridge and Webb deVlam.
Students complete their Major final year Projects between October 2014 – April 2015 and projects are exhibited in June at Made in Brunel 2015, see www.madeinbrunel.comfor further details.
